Resource of the Month – Center for Interpersonal Studies through Film and Literature Collection

Did you know that the library has an extensive collection of movies on DVD and VHS? Most are part of the Center for Interpersonal Studies through Film and Literature Collection and can be browsed by title and category (film or documentary) on the CISFL website. All of the items in the collection, including these items and those purchased directly for the library collection, can be searched by director, featured actor, title, subject, and keyword using the library’s catalog (add the filter for Film Collection to limit to films). Most of the collection is located on the 2nd floor, but a few more expensive titles are “on reserve” at the circulation desk for extra security. Like the rest of the library’s collection, they are arranged by Dewey Decimal Classification, which means documentaries are arranged together by subject and feature films are arranged alphabetically by director with the call number 791.4372.
